Hi
Has anyone had their Rocker Cover powder coated ?
I am looking to have mine done( if possible) , and i am looking for an address around northants /milton keynes ?

Please help !

Thanks:bounce1

Be careful, you will need someone who can deal with magnesium, other wise they will be destroyed!!!

@gadget .. That makes me nervous! :-(
@Mikeyboy .. Thanks , I will give them a call ..

Thanks

Ophie, are your covers silver or the darker colour, I think BMW call it Magnesium, of the TB and Rallye etc? I'm interested as I would have mine done if I could get a colour match on the Magnesium.

Its a 05 GS , so it has silver colour . I let you know as soon as i get mine sorted , hopefully fairly soon, as i don't like to see my bike in bits...

I got Chris Tunner to paint the cylinder covers on my GSA. Much safer than powder coating.:thumb

I speak from experience, I took a pair of TC covers in for powdercoating, they ended up looking like swiss cheese!

We probably took them to the same place Mike!!!

Woo painted does look nice , I would like to agree, it sounds to be a safer option as well. I am going to see "unique Paint and Powder" in Northampton that has been recommended. Lets wait and see!:beerjug:

That Plate !

Where Nutty is likely to take that pristine bike it will be as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
Unless the M3/M25 cracks upand goes rocky overnight oh hang on a minute :D

What does the plate on the centre stand do?

In the event of total brake failure the stand can be lowered to the 3/4 down position to become a very effective "Air Brake". The "Fully Down" position is only recommended for Emergency Stops !!.

Who cares, it looks good!:P

It protects the underside of the bike/ exhaust. Judging by the number of stone chips on it already, it's money well spent.:thumb

How little you know me! This is my B road and White road bike.:green gri

I just happen to clean mine properly.:pullface:D

Really? They declined to do a pair of mine (probably as a result of doing yours)... :D

No doubt Mike, I was warned by them it might happen..... and it did! They were only spares anyway, have been very happy with other stuff they have done:)
