Powder coating.........

Any of you guys in the Bolton Bury area know of a good place to get my rack powder coated? The factory coating is looking worn, so i need a place that will put a good thick coat on it.

What about you Jono, any ideas?

Plus What about a source for BMW bolts n fasteners. My bike sits at work so is exposed to the elements, therefore things like brake disc bolts are rusting as are the bolts on the front of the engine
Makes my bike look tatty, so any ideas for that also?

I live in St Helens and have used this company a few times for my various restorations, they are very geared up for motorcycle parts. It would be fairly easy for you to get there, they are just off the A59, about 1 mile from the end of the M57/58.

I often buy my stainless steel fasteners from a company in the midlands 'Aidpac'

Birkenhead Powder Coatings do bike parts.....fair price,good turnaround times and decent day to day quality,perhaps not always show standard but ideal for brackets,racks etc.

Another shout her for Elite powder coating, they have done loads of jobs for me (usually on one of the Laverdas) including welding and polishing, top guys and very quick.

I've got acouple of frames i need coating and spoke with these guys who are on the main road from Blackrod to Westhoughton.

Not had them done yet or seen there work but they are local, might be worth a look....if you do let me know if they did a good job.....cheers
