I realise this has probably been done to death on here so I will start by saying I'm sorry. I just want to make sure I have got my head around this properly incase I bugger anything up.
My bike came with an Eprom chip, says "open inlet/exhaust" on it, (came with no instructions ) so I just threw it in the motronic unit, at the same time I fitted a Remus can and K and N filter. (The bike was STD when I bought it but I believe the guy before me had fitted all this previously)
The bike runs great, and has a lot more "go", I have had it on the dyno and it's making 84bhp.
Now Iv'e been doing a bit of reading up on here and it seems there is different maps that the chip is capable of (only just found this out) so going by These instructions then my bike which currently has NO coding plug , this would be set up for "use with special camshaft", which is clearly not what my bike has.
So would I be correct In thinking that I want the bike set up for "aftermarket muffler", stage 2, pins 2 and 6 connected?
My bike has a yellow CCP, it has no cat/ 02 sensor on it.
I only ever get around 160 miles to a tank, could having it set up the way it is be causing this?
The bike is an Import (not sure where from, numberplate says "jap motors", so I assume Japan), It was made in 1994 but is on a p (1996 reg)
