Power Commander for 1200GS info

In simple terms, one of the problems with the R1200GS engine management system is that it continually tries to lean out the mixture to minimise emissions. In cool dense air, it runs well. In hotter thinner air, it will often sound like a chaff cutter. This is evident simply by listening to it idle (but not for long, it will overheat and melt the plastic oil indicator window - and yes, I have seen a number of melted windows).
A Techlusion or PowerCommander will allow you to dial in a little extra fuel, allowing the engine to run cooler and more predictably.
And to those who think that aftermarket can't improve on OEM, I would reiterate what others have said on this thread, OEM's are very sensitive to legislation and will often compromise engineering and performance.
Want another example - look at that silly plastic thing hanging over the back wheel !!!!
I will fit a Techlusion as soon as it becomes available.
I have experienced the difference on an R1150R, and have the backup of a BMW Trained Technician doing the same thing.
Not a guarantee, but not a bad reference either.
