Hi,

I know this subject has been touched on before but I need some info.

I want to buy a power controller because I'm concerned about lean running with my open full Remus system and K&N.(been on for 15k miles). Since putting the system on, the power increase has been amazing and I love the popping and banging on the overun. The bike just seems to get quicker the more miles it does (20k now). The extra power from a controller would be an added benefit, as well as the knowledge that my engine is running at a richer level. But, is there anything I can do to retain the overun music ? (maybe introduce a leak into the exhaust ?)

With regard to the controller, is the Techlusion TFI - 1334ST the same as the
Wunderlich. Also what is the Rapid Bike 3 module ?
Will cutting the air snorkel shorter give a boost ?

Does anybody have any direct comparisons available with regard to the above as to which is the better overall ?

To the people who have fitted them, has the overall experience been positive and is the power gain noticeable ?

Thanks

Here's a good start.

Worth spending a while searching the 1200 section as there is quite a bit of info. buried within it (somewhere!).

Thanks for that link. Looks like all the info I need.
Do you recon any long term damage may have taken place by running on the standard settings with the engine breathing easy ? The exhaust gases are so hot on a long fast run that they melted the heat shield on my panniers !! I also always use tesco 99 if poss, only dropping to 98 when no tescos around. My friends who are riding behind my bike always say my exhaust/bike stinks, I just say should try harder to pass me, but I put this down to the fuel. Any thoughts.
