Hi all,
Sorry to ask what I know is going to be a silly question to more experienced bike owners, but...
I took the top panel off my bike last night to reveal the air filter / battery etc. I was looking to see how much space there is under there to fit an accessory. When I removed the cover I saw another little aux power socket that clips onto the top of the battery. It seems my Garmin is plugged into it.
So what I want to know:
* Is this extra socket standard?
* Are there any others hidden around the bike? (i want to plug my Inforad into something)
* If not, what is the best way to power something like this? This is the first time I have played around with electrics on a bike and I'm a bit apprehensive.
On my old Triumph the fitter had stripped away a bit of the cable going into the fusebox and soldered the Inforad power cable directly on to that! I'm just a bit hesitant to start cutting into my new pride and joy's wiring!
Cheers!
