Hi, i'm nursing a detached retina so excuse the siht sepllnig.:D my only working eyer is pretty poor.

Having a 2 week aet back on playing with me GS I'm thinking power, i jsut want a basic set up for charging me mobile and the odd attachment of GPS.

Is it just a matter of attaching a cigar lighter to the battery and plonking it neat the bars? fused.

sorry for not exhausting a search but PC time is very limiting.

Just a note. Lots of phones will pull more than 0.5 amps if you're using them as GPS with the screen on, so with weaker chargers, you'll still deplete the battery even with it plugged in. A 1A charger is normally enough. If you're using your phone as satnav in the top of a tank bag, expect it to get quite warm too!

Personally I pick a destination on the phone, turn off the screen, put it in my jacket pocket and rely on the voice instructions via a headset. This works the vast majority of the time (Android and Google Maps) and will continue to navigate you on your current route even if you lose signal. The battery still tends to last all day, even if I don't plug it in. However, if you're in the middle of nowhere and you want to choose a new destination and you don't have a signal, expect to be flying solo for a while.... alternatively, use a satnav app that can work offline.

Having just arrived into smart phone world I think this'll do the job rather nicely, not a fan of Bluetooth headsets etc.....yet. Still have the cheap car satnav on the bars though.
