Hi all

I've been offered a new flip screen for my GS from Powerbronze, has anyone else bought one and used it yet? Would like to know how much vibration and movement the screen makes when installed, any breakage over time etc?

Thanks in advance.

Would like to but its the expense issue.

The PB screen is only £90 new and includes winglets.

I hate to even ask how much an adventure screen will be....:eek

Over £300!! second hand ones with all fittings are like rocking horse pooh!

I can't comment on the Powerbronze screen for the GS, but the one I had for my ZX6 needed significant modification with a Dremel to fit. It wouldn't fit "out of the box" - the majority of the pre-drilled holes were almost in the right place (2-3mm off), but a couple were way off (>5mm).

When I went back to them, Powerbronze basically told me that it was my problem their product didn't fit, (hence the resultant mods with the Dremel) and I said to myself I'd never buy from them again. The screen was good quality though, made from thick perspex, and lasted a good two years before cracking around the mounts and having to be chucked (presumably due to stresses from my mods). The more expensive MRA Vario I replaced it with fitted perfectly first time, and was still going strong at 9 years old when I sold the bike.

That said, Powerbronze are still in business so there must be many happy and satisfied punters. Maybe I just got a duff screen and caught their customer service on a bad day, but I'd try to see one before you part with your cash. Remember - buy cheap, buy twice.
