POWERBRONZE GEL TOURING SEAT BMW R1200GS

We don't have the Powerbronze seat, but we do have the Bagster (with gel pads fitted) - much more comfortable than standard, and looks nice too:

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the link, just curious really, not buying at present but I liked the look of the Powerbronze, just wondered how comfortable it is compared to the usual suspects, Seargent, Corbain, etc.

Cheers.

Like Bilko said, I have one on and for the money its got to be the best seat available IMO.

5000 miles so far in 2 weeks and its a massive improvement on the standard one.

I think the comfort of the powerbronze is dependent on your height. I am 6'2 and found that I couldn't get my arse back far enough on it to get comfortable, so sadly had to send it back.
For someone shorter, I imagine it would be very comfortable!

Have to agree. I live close to Powerbronze's HQ in Sussex and popped in to try their demo seat for size. The seat looks great and felt pretty comfy, but at 6' 4" I felt a little too snug for me as it is quite sculptured at the back of the seat.

Shame.

Powerbronze don't have it available at present, very hard to get hold of, eBay occasionally has a couple but nothing at present... I guess I will have to wait...

Get a second hand Sargent off here for similar money which is what I did, in effect it's only on a long term free hire as you'll recoup your money 100% when you sell it eventually if you look after it.

Initially I thought there was little improvement over OE but within a few hundred miles it had bedded in to my arse ( or vice versa!) and now it's pretty much all day comfortable

Sorting the seat on a long distance bike like the GS is one of the best mods you can make and I can't believe I squirmed around on the OE for many thousands of miles before I went aftermarket :blast

Thanks for the advice, I liked the look of the Powerbronze but it isn't urgent and I have gotten used to the OEM seat anyway... It can wait... First mod Hilltop Motorcycles next month!

I've gotten used to the stock seat, recently did a 300 mile round trip, no discomfort whatsoever so I'm gonna leave it now.

I have a gel pad fitted looks standard comfortable,if there is a downside it gets cold in winter months so i lean it against the radiator at home before i ride .
HOT A$$

:blast well the new seat arrived today and suprise suprise its going back lol

the powerbronze seat is the new later model but as has already been said in this tread it is very uncomfortable at 6'3" (didnt read that till i had bourght it lol note to self always reasearch first) and it is a very very snug fit
