Don't know if this has been posted before, but my hugger snapped on my 800GS a couple of months back. I called them and they told me that they were developing a new stronger bracket. I got an email last week informing me that there is a safety recall on the item and they are issuing refunds.

Where abouts did your bracket snap/fracture?

I bought one when they first came out and have had no problems. The bracket seems to be very sturdy to me.

I haven't had any email from Powerbronze about this issue.

My Powerbronze Hugger broke a little more that a month ago, riding along and as i got home the thing snapped. It snapped where they bent it up sharply. Called them and they replaced it without a hitch! Got a new one in the post a couple days later!

They informed me ( it was Stephanie I dealt with ) and she said that they were not replacing, and refunded me the 75 quid, which is the price that I paid at the NEC. It snapped in the same place as described above.

Talked to Stephanie at Powerbronze today and she said that there is a new design under test that they expect to have ready in about 8 weeks. They couldn't offer me a refund as I bought the bike with it fitted, so I guess I'll have to wait........:augie
