But seriously, I assume the white frame is some non-standard affectation (aberration?), there's some bits at the front seem to have been re-purposed from a Japanese trail bike, and exhaust wrap - it's not for everyone, is it?

Is a monolever g/s a usable everyday bike, or are there any number of better alternatives. What's likely to be wrong with one of undisclosed mileage? Or about to go wrong? I figure that slow, shaft reaction and "period" braking come with the package, I was looking at a 75/5 months back but somebody more local got in first.

That bike came from the 'Naki, & has a braced frame. The vendor has only had it since March. Originally it had an Ohlins shock & big Japanese forks up front. The vendor has the headlight bucket & light, but no speedo. Its using a cycle speedo at present. The 'Naki owner is well known & had the bike for a while.

It would be worth around $A7-8,000- in stock trim, so it is cheap enough - it wouldn't cost that much to sort the mess out.

The actual miles doesn't matter much, as anything that is going to wear out will have worn out by now, and been replaced.
It is all down to the condition, and if you cant get to it to see it, or speak to someone who has examined it, I wouldn't touch it.

As the vendor says , people are starting to chase these bikes, and my feeling is that if it was any good it would have been snapped up by now - Ebay is usually the last resort when selling a vehicle.

Interesting. Or would have been if the ad hadn't disappeared, guess it sold. Auckland is a long way from Dunners to be first in with a kick of the tyres.

Thanks for the comments one and all; in the interest of being ready to move when the right bike shows up, would a mono like that drink unleaded ok?
