Pragmasis 13mm / Abus 12ks/120 noose end chains + Litelok x3 - fit compatibility

Edit: I couldn't find the Pragmasis chain in stock so went with the Hiplock DX1000 and Mega Lick bundle from Sportbikeshop. I had a 10% discount code through Devitt insurance so the bundle came in at just under £400 which is an eye watering amount but having just watched an article on BBC Breakfast about the rising number of bike thefts decided to bike the bullet.
As per Pukmeister I have a GSA and a 350 Forza as well as a WR250R so reckon it makes sense.

I have the DX1000 and Mega chain. The chain is a beast, not something you'll be carrying on the bike.I use the Hiplock X chain on the bike when out.I would use a Pragmasis if any one/shop had them.

I use the 14mm HIplok xl chain with mine.
Does the XL chain work with the D/DX1000.Thought I tried an XL chain in Sportsbikeshop but with the rubber cover in place(on the DX1000) it wouldn't go through the XL links.

It is the plan to use the mega chain oot 'n' aboot but if it is too heavy it will still come in useful in the garage.

Your right, I thought I had the XL, but I bought the X Chain, which fits, but its only 10mm links. Sorry for the confusion

Yes,I also use the Xchain, strange Hiplock don't do a chain between the X and the Mega to take on the bike.

Agreed. I carry an X chain but can't use it with my Litelok X1, so have to use it with another less robust lock. My X1 won't go over either wheel, so use it through both front discs or a spoke, or through rear sprocket and disc

Well they both arrived today and Mr. Burridge01 is right, the Mega Chain is far too big and unwieldy for the bike so I'll have to keep that for the garage and look for another option on the bike.
Reading the above messages an X Chain might be the way to go with the DX1000.

Okay, it's all going back. Brain of Britain here didn't consider that the GSA and WR have spoked wheels and there's no way the links of the mega chain are getting through either.
Fortunately I'm not far away from Sportsbikeshop so I'll take them back in the car.
I'd like to stick with the DX1000 but as it and the chain came as a bundle I'll get a refund for them then pay fir the shackle lock separately and see if I can find a quality chain that will fit the lock and go through the spokes.
First the tarp now this, is there no beginning to my abilities?

I use my Pragmasis 16mm with my Liteloks (X1 Plus, X3 and Core Moto).

Core moto is for out and about, 16mm is for the ground anchor.

You are doing it wrong. The DX1000 goes around the front wheel rim/tyre and the mega chain loops around something and attaches to the DX1000. Unless you are trying to tether 2 bikes together, chain going through 1 wheel with spoke(and doesn't fit)Hope that makes sense.

Yep, that's was what I was hoping to do, tether 2 bikes together using the mega chain. I guess I could buy another DX1000 and tether them together that way but it's all getting very expensive. If I'm being honest I was also hoping to use the mega chain out and about despite your assertion that this wasn't sensible. I should have taken your advice in the 1st place.

Edit: What I'm looking for now is a quality noose chain that will fit the DX1000 AND go through spoked wheels.

So.....eventually went with a Pragmasis 13mm 1.2m noose end chain + Litelok X1 moto combination to use when away for the rear end. Plus I have 2 oxford disc locks which I'll use on the front wheel discs (obvs) by the brake calipers, which methinks is an awkard enough position for a crim to get at. The final lock item is a 18mm (diameter) 1m revolver loop lock.....then will throw a lightweight Oxford w/p cover over the bike.

All items fit in the top box with ease, along with all the other bits one carries in there.

The day has arrived when one hopes that 5-6 security devices is enough of a deterrent to enjoy ones vacation
