Has anyone bought the Pragmasis chain ? If so, which one would you recommend for out and about.
I know that they con be heavy, I was looking at the 13 mm chain and lock combo. At the moment I use a Abus X Plus 54/160 which I have mounted to the frame on my GSA Rallye which I use to go through the front wheel and through the front fork brake mount. I also have a generic security 10 mm hardened chain and a shackle lock which I think I should update. I'm curious to know what other Gser's are using, any recommendations welcome. :thumb

Also got the 13mm chain but with one of their D locks which is a better solution overall for me as I can't always park close enough to something solid to wrap the chain around (using a 1.5m noose chain) and it's reasonably portable

At home I've got the 16mm chain with the anti pinch pin & a Squire padlock, considerably more robust but noticeably heavier for lugging around - in both cases I'll add another D lock, disc lock and use the roadlok - welcome to London!

I have one, and their ground anchor & round lock thing. I have a D lock on the front.
The chain runs through the centre of the rear wheel so would be a tricky one to easily remove.

Very good quality kit.

As has been said most things can be beaten.

I’ve 13 mm and 19 mm Pragmasis chains. I wouldn’t want to carry either around, very hefty bits of kit.

Same here.... 16mm + anti pinch pin + squires lock + ground anchor. Very solid, very happy with it.... happily recommend Pragmasis.

If you are out and about, i.e. coffee/ lunch/ cake stops, would it be better to just have an alarmed disc lock, to keep the weight down, as most of the time it will be within ear shot? I understand when its parked up overnight, that you would want the bike as secure as possible. I use a Zena alarmed disc lock on the front. Iv heard on here that if you can get it on to the back disc, it will be even harder for the scrotes to get at the lock to nick the bike.

Which disclock fits on the back disc? Tried several but no joy

I’v been thinking about just putting a good padlock through the back disc, as well as the Xena on the front. It will do the same job. Not tried it yet though.

The 13mm link chain 1.5m is quite light and easily carried in a topbox. The 190mm dlock is also ideal for fitting through the wheel so it cant be "jacked". You could crop a 13mm link if you have enough free space but angle grinder morelikely so with the chain and dlock its a few minutes to get through....best you can hope for.

Hi have a 16 mil (with ground anchor, etc. etc.). You wouldn't want to lug that around.

At home I use their 19mm chain, squire padlock, anti-pinch pin and ground anchor

On the road I use their 13mm chain with a noose link and RL21 round lock; it is a bit heavy, but I always have the top box
