Forgive me for pointing out the obvious but this should not be not a Boxerlust witch hunt , save that for the Pub , he has valid points , some dreams but above all stimulating points and his slant on things , its a forum not a battlefield of abuse to another member. Just saying.
He really only has one point, one opinion, and he bangs on about it more than Geoff Boycott bangs on about Yorkshire. Time for him to change the record.
I’m sure many place palm to face when reading yet another M1300GS post, it’s a bit bloody repetitive , and predictable , but then so is all the abuse .... why actually bother typing all the vitriol !!??? 
What is the problem ? All here is to see how great Telelever is even if some idiots in the press still knock Telelever 25 years later because they are clue-less and BMW catered to them by ditching Telelever on the R & RS...
Who would have thought that a GS-ADV a bike that is 90 lbs heavier than a R with a conventional fork and 17" wheels is FASTER on a track ? That is no reason for bitching but celebrating...
And hopefully BMW keps the Telelever on Boxers at least and does not go back to the stone age fork...Forks are for eating but don't belong on motorcyles...

Not even close...The G-W has a Hossack style font-end where Honda copied the K1200RS and K1200/1300S style front suspension with a solid fork and 2 short levers...The GSA-TELELEVER beating the 90 lbs lighter R on the track despite being 10 km/h slower on a 1/4 run is very impressive...
All we need now is 160hp straight line performance...

I followed two R1200Rs on my 1200GS LC (nice new R5 tyres) down the High Street, from Caistor to Baumber on Tuesday - one of the more “progressive” roads in the UK.
If they were suffering from handling challenges, I must be an even worse rider than I thought.
I like High Street. I liked my R1200R on High Street.
For the same engine, the 1200R feels rather more lively than it does in the GS. I'm glad I didn't take the GS..
Have you forgotten the two XRs as well? In mitigation, you were the tailender.

It took me a couple of thousand miles to get used to the lack of feel from the telelever set up after years of forks. After 5,000 miles the GS has finally grown on me
All the GS needs is 160 - 180 hp and a 17" front with adjusted geometry to become the fastest bike for the road...
XR top-end - boxer TORQUE and Telelever in combination with a 120/17 front and 180/17 would rule everything except tracks with long straights where superbikes would still be useful tools...B.t.w. I hate soccer...

Chazzy...If he followed the XR there is no shame.Because even T-L can't overcome a 35 hp deficit...
That is why we need 160-180 hp from the next gen GS and then finally have enough to be happy for years to come...
