Traditional forks, to save weight, forks are so good now particularly with electronic aids.

When do you think the next facelift model will show its face? 2017?

What's your thoughts on what bmw will change? Just like they did with the original 1200? 5bhp increase here, design tweaks there? Is the GS ready for a facelift? Suggestions please!

Bought the 17" wheels from HPS. They are Kineo aluminium ones and you only need to change the discs over. They take the TPS sensors as well. The rear takes a 185 tyre....it just clears the swingarm. The mudguard came from Ilmberger. Handles really well....just falls into corners but no headshakes even on bumpy roads. And there is no effect on the ABS or TC either

That's the painful bit....they cost the best part of 2 grand and 250 quid for the mudguard. I think that they are worth every penny....it is so much fun to ride. More weight over the front and feel front tyre and sharper steering.

Oooh!! It's a shame there aren't any sticky tyres for the gs. Pr4 s probably the best choice.

That's what's fitted to mine....but with the 17" front then the choice is almost limitless.

2017 easy, just bored out to 1300cc, lean abs, lean ancilliary lights, heated seats, slightly different beak, more suspension configuration, basically everything to close the KTM gap.

2020 gets really interesting, either turbo charging or supercharging with a smaller capacity boxer engine, 2wd, all digital display, much lighter, HUD on screen or helmet.
