Hi All, Just been down to Vines of Guildford for the launch day for the new k bikes and took out an 08 adventure as well All of the bikes are great but the adventue suits my need the best. Cant afford a new one but was offered an 08 model on a 57 plate 4k miles fully loaded for 10600k but the same bike with just 2k more miles from clarks bmw is £9499 . Is the vines bike over priced or are clarks offering a bargin !
Any thoughts ?

Maybe good reasons why the Clarks bike is cheaper, eg it's not in London

Assuming the condition is similar, my ex 07 GSA with panniers, ABS etc is in Rainbow for just under 10k. So, Vines overpriced, Clarks good value, IMO.

Vines put on lavish open days for their customers - they can't come cheap

Totally depends upon the options that are on both bikes ... You can add up to 3K of them .. So check that out ..

you want to look at the ex demo standard GS's Vines are selling.

Just bought a 3 month old with very low mileage for £8250.

very pleased.

What is the running in period for the boxer engines? i.e. when do then loosen up and aget the best efficiency/power/response etc?

I test rode a new one and found it a bit sluggish to pick up from traffic lights etc. Almost like it was going to stall out.

My current F800GS has a massive gear indicator- may have got a bit used to it!!!

Actually, Vines of Guilldford are offering discounts on servicing and BMW Park Lane in centre of London are not.

Nope, definitely not. You don't get a decent flat around here for less than the best part of a thousand a week. Guildford does not come close.
