price of throttle bodies?

Any one know the price of throttle bodies mine
have been ballenced several times + ive fitted a ticker killer
which does jack shit i want to replace the throttle bodies now.

Leave a Little Slack in Cables!

Hi Stevie,
You answered Rob Farmer by saying "all free-play is correct" - but if you set the free-play "correct" as per BMW (zero play), as Rob says, they will chatter like hell.
I set mine up with a wee bit free play - then as you slowly open the throttle and reach the point of "zero play" you hear the butterflies chattering - or , if their badly balanced you'll hear one start to chatter before the other.
I don't know who's doing the balancing(yourself or a dealer?), but before I went the route of changing throttle bodies I'd get someone else to do a balance - maybe even an experienced tosser who lives nearby could give it a go??

Throttle Bodies

Hallo Septic, I also wasted money on a ticker killer, then spent some more and did the job properly! I bought a set of new bushes,spindle, butterfly,screws,seals,cable pulley,return spring and new end cap,in fact every thing you need to refurbish the right side injector body for £43 inc.p&p last January. Its done 20,000since and is still quiet. On every noisy bike that I looked at it was always the rh side that had worn bushes.You can tell by getting hold of the cable pulley and lifting it up and down. I bought the parts from Ralph Engelbrecht in Germany. I did take some photos with a view to doing an article but I am better in the garage than on a computer !If you need more info let me know. Regards Stan ps. the euro rate has collapsed since so that will add a few ££s but still cheaper than new throttle bodies!
