Depends on the colour, if it is a Silver one, the price will be dramatically lower than the rare and sought after Black ones.

Fanum - I am not trying to sell it here - if I were then yes I would go the sponsor route but seeing as I am trying to get an idea of price I didn't think it was neccessary.

Also seeing as I have tried the B*W route and found that it is not for me, I am disinclined to spend any more money than I have to. I am disillusioned with the whole B*W attitude of "They all do that sir!". Having spent over ten grand on a bike, I expect the f*cking headlights to work. I don't expect to have to fill the bloody thing with oil every week and then be told it is all part of the experience.

Sorry for the rant - but IMHO this just ain't good enough.

9000 miles and you're "filling it up with oil" every week mines on 9800 and the oil consumption has settled right down and is now negligable,
Still-it beats oiling chains every week

9000miles in six months............needs refilling with oil every week.....electrics shot..........does not bode well as a s/h purchase sir....any other problems you want to discuss before it goes on sale?

Electrics not shot - just shite spread of light as standard. As testified by many on this fine forum. I am not filling it up with oil every week but the consumption is much greater than I had expected. Having been molloycoddled by Honda et al for all these years where the time you put oil in is at serveice time. Yes I am pissed off with these so called Characteristics on a £10K motorcycle.

I am not trying tio detract from the choices made by memebers of this forum - it is a great, but flawed bike, and I for one am no longer willing to continue with the experience. That coupled with SOME dealer attitudes that: " its only 10 grand, what do you expect?" Then they want to kick you in nuts with insulting trade in offers - thanks but no thanks - I am voting with my wallet and going else where.

I like you despair of the Dealers attitude and applaud your action in walking away with your wallet - have you tried B&W Customer service - great folks who continue the attitude with bells and whistles - I'm still waiting a response to a secondary query sent to them on the 7th July - I'm hoping to get to three months before I rant back (or try too).

Unfortunately I like the bikes and the different experience you get from the other manufacturer's - I was about 13 / 14 when I looked at a boxer twin and said "I want one" didn't realise the experience off the bike would not meet the expectations that are fulfilled when I'm on it!!
