HI Chaps and ladies, would anyone know of a suitable large off road tarmac car park where my daughter could learn to ride a cg125 geared machine without insurance.?
its catch22 i dont want to insure her on it unless i know she is proficient enough to ride safely.
Its an additional £200 to ride the honda, which could be waste if she cant get the hang of it.
many thanks Paul.

what about a big field? there's one in kent some place....:blast

beggars can't be choosers... the main thing is space....:thumb2

Is there a disused airfield nearby? That's what I used back in the late 70's when teaching some actor chap how to ride. He'd lied in an interview, and needed to ride a bike for a part he'd landed.

Surely she has done a CBT? If so then she should be proficient with the basics; if she has a CBT certificate and is not proficient then you should complain to the training school. If she hasn't done a CBT then why are you trying to teach her?, after all she has to do a CBT by law so why not let a professional do the job and take the pressure off yourself?

Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's?
Wait until the store shuts and their car park is all yours :thumb2

LS has a good point best not to be the bad guy in the family...

i don't know the in's and outs of a CBT - but is it possible she did this on 'twist and go'?? or is that not possible :nenau

Ive heard some "professionals",personally im not impressed, and bearing in mind my daughters safety is paramount to me, i would sooner spend loads of time with her, and i'd rather save my money.
Re the safety side, before someone says,"put her in a car" £3 grand to insure an 1100 punto, kinda says it all.
This isnt to say every tutor is an arse, but i'm quite happy to do it myself.
I'm a green badge holder, and i would sooner teach her myself.
I taught my son, and he's a cracking rider now.
all the best Paul

I have a tarmac car park you can have.100m square, any good to you. It's just outside Chester, and it's collection only, as I can't find a box big enough to post it:augie

we'll pop up and see you.
Were gonna christen the titanic kettle the weekend.
The frame is made, the internals are sterilized, and were ready to rock.
