Just bought a pair of these this morning from North Oxford Garage as I wanted a pair of all round boots I could use for commuting (all year round) and a bit of touring. I'd been wearing my Sidi Vertigo's (not warm, and no waterproofing), but these have now been put aside for track day usage.

I have to say, I went into NOG aiming to buy the Santiago boots (more enduro style/use), but they seemed a bit over the top for what i really needed my boots for - I've already got a pair of A'stars Tech 3's for my Husq'y, and another pair of very similar didn't seem to be the way to go in the end.

The guy serving me was extremely patient! In the end, I think we had 5 boxes of boots out, of both types of boots (+ I tried the 'Allround' boot aswell), in different sizes. They were on, off....walking about in them, outside to sit on the bike, I think he couldn't wait for me to leave! In the end, I decided on the Pro Touring 2's. The quality is obvious. All leather/goretex with a 2 year guarantee. Lovely snug feeling, with a fleecy lining at the top, which feels nice on the bare part of my leg above my socks under my kevlar jeans. Little touches. I've never owned a pair of goretex boots before, but my Winter kit is Dainese goretex gear, and I've not yet gotten wet or cold over the last 3 Winters use (yes, including riding in the snow & ice!), so I've got high hopes for these boots!

I was even cheeky enough to ask "what's the best price you can do on them?" after all the time/effort he put into getting me the right pair! Fair play though, he took a few quid off - £225 down to £200.

Anyway, just thought I'd share a nice buying experience of what appears to be a really nice quality item.
