heading up to the west coast next thursday before the dreaded winter starts john o groats and surrounding areas any good routes/things to see, have been a few times before hope the weather stays dry :augie

just got back from a 250mile trip today , round the braemar/kirriemuir/back to stirling area , nice day but bloody freezing , 3 layers and heated grips on full .
The further north the colder it got , passing the top of cairngorm ski area was ball shrinkingly cold.

Have a good trip and watch out for nthe wet leaves on the corners!

Out today in Southwest Ireland, t-shirt and bike jacket without liner, leaves still on trees... Amazing the difference in conditions...

Possibly my last ride of summer too . . .

. . . . brilliant day today. Even with some early frost on the grass in places. Was glad of my hot grips. Sun shone all day. What more do you need? Had to leap frog 9 fluorescent Pan riders north of Perth who were enjoying a convoy ride somewhere.

Home - Kincardine - Kinross - Perth - Blairgowrie - Glenshee - Braemar - Tomintoul (the cafe of course) :) - Grantown (fuel for bikes) - Aviemore - A9 :( - Broxden (fuel for me) - Gleneagles - Glen Devon - Kincardine - Home.

6 hours all in. 272 miles. Got to ride my lad's S1000R down from Grantown :thumb2 Turbine smooth and absolutely BALLISTIC in a straight line.

Roll on summer1
