I've spend a few hours planning a route on Road Trip and have tried to send it to my Garmin. I've done this once before and it worked fine but for some reason when I hit send it doesn't show up on the Garmin? Any ideas? Road Trip sees the Zumo and it receives fine. Very frustrating.

Not sure if this the same.. but, on my 550 when the route is sent, I have to disconnect the unit from the computer, turn it (the Garmn Unit) back on then import the route etc, when it 'asks'...

Question are most Mac people using Basecamp or Road Trip. I can't get it to work in Road Trip but it does seem to work in Basecamp. For a £400+ piece of kit the software is pretty crap IMHO as well as the instructions. When creating a route do you have to have waypoints all along the way? Thanks

I have Road Trip but have to say I seldom use it. More likely I see a place on Google Maps and send it to the unit and make things up in the 600 rather than on the Mac. Sorry.

Think I finally figured this out. First off all ditch Road Trip and use Basecamp. Apparently if you take a waypoint this unit does not like it. So when I do routes I used multiple waypoints like pubs. Send it to the GPS and go to Import from My data and it works. I think...

i have planned more than a few pretty complicated routes using Road Trip.

usually they send to my 660 fine, but find it's worth checking that they are all physically there before setting out, as occasionally, one or two might go missing somewhere. when this happens, re-sending usually sorts it.

big problem for me with road trip is it's horrendous slowness in executing any instruction.
