Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere but a search didn't yeild the answer for me...

I recently bought a Zumo 660 and am still finding my way about with it (pardon the pun). I've successfully installed routes planned on the unit itself and have also planned routes on mapsource. The problem is that I can't seem to transfer the latter ones onto the Zumo.

I link up the unit to my PC and press send to device. The unit is recognised and the window comes up for the transfer. I even get the notice that the route has been tranferred suceessfully: that comes on in a fraction of a second after pressing the send button (albeit the transfer bar window doesn't fill with the blue coloured progress indicator)

There is then no trace of the route on my unit

TIA

I'm not in front of my unit now, but oes it not come up with a message to the effect that new data has been found when you turn the 660 on?

Otherwise I think the sequence is 'tools icon>user data>import data' IIRC

I've just followed your instructions and nothing was "waiting" in the routes section of Import Data. Still baffled I'm afraid :beerjug:

Ronnie ..... You've been to Rannoch Station before !!!

I am at a loss to understand why this is not working.

The transfer of a modest route (or even a number of routes) will be very quick.

One thought.

Do you have a microcard in the 660? If so, I guess it is possible that the PC is loading the routes to the microcard and that the 660 is not picking them up. If so, take the microcard out and try again.

I am away at the moment but could you attach the route to this thread, please. I will then see if I can load it onto my 660 when I have a moment.

Cheers,

Richard

I don't have a microcard inserted.

I'll stick one of the routes up when I go home at lunchtime.

Thanks for your help :beerjug:

Wapping, I tried to upload a route (as an attachment) from Scotland to the Channel Tunnel and it won't let me cos the gdb file size is too big

I can't upload onto here as a URL link cos it won't show the URL :blast

Edit: My routes are being saved in my Documents on the PC. Could this be the prob?

Don't know if this will make any difference but I was due a free mapping update from garmin and this is now downloading...

Which seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks for input :beerjug:
