Problem: Nav 5 Music + Cardo Scala Q3

iphones tend to not like connecting to anything other than apple products that's why I steer clear of anything apple!!

I think thats a ridiculous assertion. I have no connectivity issues with apple kit (and aside from purchase cost and pitiful battery life....i love everything they sell)

John and I above both posted; that we enjoy good connections , iPhone 6 Garmin and Sena...

I am sure it is a Cardo Garmin compatibility problem that neither side wants to take seriously. I had a Sho 1 for two years with nothing but frustration.
Just swapped to a Sena 20S and wow, perfect, no stuttering music, no music 'jamming' and when I leave the bike for a couple of minutes then jump back on, within 60 seconds the Sena has reconnected perfectly. Even the multi inputs seem to be no problem i.e Music playing - Nav instruction - music restarts - phone call taken (iPhone) - music restarts on completion of phone call.
Wished I had bought one two years ago! :thumb

Big Dave , you put it much better than I did.

It seems the Sena S20 is "head and shoulders" above other offerings.
Its a pity we are having to purchase two products to discover this, the first purchase is simply fit for the bin!

Have a team set G9x, seems to no ok, not the best at connecting! However can't for the life of me get it to play music when both headsets are connected! I hate it wish I had went hard wire, had an autocom on my last GSA for 8 years and never once did it fail!

Scala fails at least once a day:blagblah

Can anyone get the music to play through both headsets!

You guys using Sena 20S's make many calls? I have the voice echo issue with my Cardo Q1, G9x and Packtalk.

I was going to try a Sena 20S until I started reading about issues with them in the rain.

Yes, that's what put me and a riding buddy off the Sena brand. Two newly purchased SMH 10s both failed within a day of each other when subjected to heavy rain on a trip to Scotland, a few years ago.

I could actually shake water out of mine. No where in their advertising blurb did they say it has an IP rating, unlike the Scala G9s we bought to replace them.

Are the headsets deleted from the phones memory of the Bluetooth devices?
Only time I had issues is when my phone had a memory of the headset. Delete it from the phone. Phone-Nav-headset. Jobs a good 'un

Similar thing here, i use a hard wired bluetooth adaptor in my Autocom pro avi which i use with a cable from unit to helmet, its blue toothed to Nav5 and my iphone too.
Playing music from a 32gb card and using map at same time works ok then sometimes i loose sound? no prompts or music, phone and adaptor show still connected and music still playing????? Have to disconnect power to Autocom or Nav 5 to get it to work again????

Plus cant alter volume from Nav 5 on screen!

I want my 550 back!!!

Apparently, after a long chat with Garmin and BMW, the BMW branded shatnavs have bastardized firmware which makes them only fully compatible with BMW Bluetooth intercoms.

Has anybody else come to this conclusion?
