Hi,

I currently ride a 2006 GSA and have a small problem with the standard factory fitted alarm key fob - it eats batteries!
Put in a new battery and within a short space of time the battery is flat, fob doesn't work. Put in a new battery and it works ok (for a short time). Anybody else seen this problem?

New alarm fob, prgrammed to bike is approx. £45, so not too painfull.

Regards

I generally change my batteries every 12000 service, but i've not had a flat one yet, i guess you got a spare with yours:nenau

I thought it may be something to do with how I use it, however I have been using the spare fob recently, successfully, no problems. I put a new battery in the dodgy fob and just left it in a drawer, unused. Sure enough a few days later it is now dead.

Bike is out of warranty so i will have to pay for a replacement.
