Ok here's my set up:
Zumo 550
Autocom Kit 300
Sony Ericcson K800i

Headset and mike hard wired to Autocom via supplied leads.
Part 1299 lead to connect Zumo to Autocom.
Phone Bluetooth linked to Zumo. Phone set to hands-free.
Music plays ok (could be louder).
I can dial out from Zumo, the other party answers, but cannot hear me:spitfire

All leads are correctly patch according to Autocom instructions (1299 into Aux 2).

Mike is live since blowing in it will cut music, and I can hear my own amplified voice.

Anybody any ideas?

Have you told the Zumo that the Autocom is a headset? I assume the Autocom has Bluetooth, if not then it won't work.

You do have the mcrophone lead in place from the 1299? The usual problem with this setup is that you can't hear the beginning of the other parties speech because of the delayed mute on input 2 after you have finished speaking. The only satisfactory way around this is to buy the Autocom Bluetooth dongle for the phone "headset" and use input 1 for this - no muting
More money but it works really well.
Music still comes from the lead into input 2

Bluetooth your phone to Autocom

I'm not sure if this will help but I have connected my Zumo/K800i/Autocom in a slightly different way and it works perfectly.
The Zumo is bike powered as is the Autocom Active rider and a Kenwood radio for bike to bike.
My K800i is connected to the Zumo via bluetooth which allows me to operate the phone/phone book/calling etc. from the Zumo, the audio from the Zumo is connected to my music in lead so that I have full stereo music...but no phone audio.
I was going to buy the Autocom bluetooth module to plug into the intercom so that I could talk on the phone but didn't want to spend £100 for something that would only use occasionally. Luckily I had a Sony Ericsson HBH-200 bluetooth hands free lying around with a detachable headset which uses a 2.5mm jack plug...interesting I thought. I then plugged the HBH-200 into the phone lead on my autocom, paired it up with my K800i, set the Zumo bluetooth option to phone only (can also be set to Navigation/MP3/Phone) and it all worked first time. You can also use the Nav/MP3/Phone option (unplug the music lead) and hear everything through the bluetooth but it is only in mono and the quality/volume/battery life suffers slightly.
The only shortcoming I can see compared to the Autocom unit is that it is not bike powered and may only last a day before charging but does that really matter

Oooops

Made a mistake, I paired the HBH-200 with the "connect headset" function on the Zumo, not the phone.

daf, I'm not sure what is pluggin in to what with your post? Can you clarify what the SE HBH thing is plugged into? Aux 1, 2, 3 4, etc?

Thanks:beerjug:

Sorry Pablo, it made sense when I typed it but it does look confusing.

Connect the HBH-200 to Aux.1 with the Autocom phone cable (2.5mm jack plug).

Connect the Zumo speaker out socket to Aux.2 using the music lead.

Pair the HBH-200 to to the Zumo as the headset.

Pair your phone to the Zumo.

In the Zumo bluetooth options set the Audio to Phone Only.

You should now be able to listen to Route Directions and Music via Aux.2 and use your phone on Aux.1 via bluetooth. Hope this makes a bit more sense than my earlier waffle.
