Problems with V 2008/2620

Have Europe 2008, paid money and unlocked.

Loaded onto computer no problem and then uploaded the new maps onto the unit a 2620 again no problem.

Sent all the routes for this years trip to unit some work Holland and North France but start heading south and message on unit 'Does not recognise Maps use it anyway'.

Reloaded maps again still nothing Garmin are working on it at the moment, anyone else had problems?

Translated into English, does this mean:

On my PC I have some routes worked out in an earlier version of Mapsource.

I have loaded a more modern set of maps onto my GPS device.

When I send the old routes from my PC to my GPS device, it has trouble matching the old routes to my new maps.

In a nutshell thats it, but all the routes have been re drawn on latest version and it still does not recognise it in one part of France but does in another...confused I am.

If you could upload the route, or one that goes through the trouble zone the we can test if it's an isolated problem or an issue with the non NT mapping, all mapping or just the 2620...

Alternatively just tell us whereabouts in France the issue is.

I just tried plotting a route from London to Marseilles, uploaded and selected the route, loaded without any error. StreetPilot 2720, Europe 2008 NT.

The 2620 runs off a IBM MicroDrive rather than solid state memory ISTR, what capacity does the drive have? City Nav, 2008 is bigger than v9 so maybe not all map tiles are loading. Try opening Mapsource and then click the 'Receive from device' button, select 'Maps' and click OK. It won't actually get the maps but just show you which tiles are on the GPS by colouring them pink.

Thanks for the tips, spent all yesterday playing with the thing, re loaded V9 then re loaded 2008 again, re drew all the routes again and seems to have worked this time but last one stated that route trunkated, which means I think the memory is full (waypoints).

Have other routes loaded so will delete those when the main holiday comes around and we should be sorted..fingers crossed.
