What I want to do is be able to listen to both my mp3 player and my GPS instructions through the same headphones on the bike. The GPS is on my PDA/mobile phone thing which has a 2.5mil jack, and the mp3 thing has the normal 3.5mil jack. I bought a 2-into-1 adapter from Maplins for a couple of quid but it didn't work as the output from the PDA had virtually no volume (I assume this is because the 2.5mm connector is 2-way, rather than just an output?). So does anyone know of a connector/adapter that I can buy that will work? I don't really want to go down the Autocom route unless I have to as I have no need for rider to pillion communication and I don't have any interest in being able to use the mobile phone either.....

Thanks in advance

Well without going the Autocom route, you may try their part 65 which blends two 3,5mm inputs into one output. You'd then need a 2,5mm to 3,5mm cable/adapter, and that's their mobile phone lead (part 50). That should sort out your problem with the volume, as it's a phone lead, therefore you'll get the mono sound out of your PDA phone as well as the mike (which you won't use). Total cost: less than 35£. You could also check their "solo" kits, they're around £100 and allow you to do bike to bike as well as get your GPS, music and everything sorted. No need to have to talk to a pillion!

Good luck!

Alternatively, you could buy a bigger memory card (probably SD card) for your phone/PDA and put your MP3 music there!
