Project Bumble Bee is complete

Judge and Dr Alf, many thanks. It must be a Corbin looking at the pictures but the previous owner had it re covered with what he called a Waterproof Cover. Not sure if the Corbins leaked or not but it does not let water in ( from riding it home after buying it ). Will look up cost as there is a buyer for it and then get that single and extended rack. Thought I might do some ally work to the rack to make it more luggage friendly. Also need to fabricate some lowerers for the pegs. Thats about it then before probably selling her.

Next one awaits

Now that Blue and White standard looks nice????:augie :D

As the previous owner, I had the seat recovered by P & P Seating of Birmingham. They sell seats and soft luggage under the Viper brand. The seat is a Corbin but leaked and held water long after the rain stopped. I gues it doesn't rain in sunny California. Anyway P&P did a great job and I found no looss in comfort and it didn't leak. They kept the flap idea as that cover a hole that the backrest locks into. Nice to see you have done a great job on Bumble. It served me well for 2 years. However the collapse of the local dealer system and quality issues has turned me onto brit metal. Nice to see the bike lives on. They really don't make them like that any more.

Thanks Tim

Never get back to the seller until a project is finished if I can help it as its allways sold as seen and i just get on with it. Hope you enjoyed the pics I sent and thanks for the seat info.

PROFF

Its for sale then, A Corbin that has been re covered and details as in Tims post. Send me a PM and we can go from there.

The seat on yours?

That's a Corbin (should say on the little tabs which cover the headrest post sockets) and also on the bottom of the seat pan. Great seats but as you've found low as hell and not suited to standy-uppy riding. If it isn't a Corbin then someone has done a very good copy as it is exactly the same as mine (without the grippy material or yellow piping).

Their single is the same ride height so don't go for that either.

The Siebenrock one is the same height as the standard seat which is fine if you're up to about 6ft, if you are bigger than that then the only choice is to get something re-upholstered like what I did.

Headrest post sockets????
FFS are you suggesting Andy is that short ????
surely you mean Back rest sockets:D

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Got a "before" picture (makes a nice comparison)?

I'll get a gallon of ally cleaner for you when you come to pick up the forks. It brings the cases up like new and only costs £4.50 a gallon; just needs a few minutes effort with a small wire brush :thumb

Many thanks Rob but Im not sure what you mean about the forks. Think you may have me mixed up with someone else. I am however very interested in the ally cleaner. Could you PM me with details please. :thumb
