No - the first two are indigo gloss blue , the current build is pearlescent night blue . You can really see the difference in the flesh , the pearlescent night blue is much darker

When I get it finished I'll get a shot of all three together taken outside in daylight so you can see the difference ;-)

Radiator and hoses , rubber foo peg inserts , brake lever , fuel tank with new feed pipe (as old one snapped off as they go very brittle) all on

Fuel lines , AF-XIED , rear light , seat release , inner mudguard , number plate mount , air box , handlebar controls , grips and hand guards

New clutch and throttle cable , K&N air filter and mirrors

Starting to look like a bike now

I think I' going to have to invite myself up to yours with my scruffy X-Country rat bike! :)

Great job

Cheers Josey

It's Alive !!

Bike up and running and purring like a kitten :-)

Got the clocks on and the wiring completed , Akrapovic end can , bash plate and chain fitted

Bled the brakes and filled it up with oil & water - fired straight up no problems

Plugged is the GS-911 and no fault codes present , did a full Adaptions re-set

Ran the bike up to temperature and allowed fan to kick in

Checked all levels and checked for leaks - all OK :-)

Test fitted seat

Its now a 4 week wait to get the painted panels back so I can get it 100% finished

I can't remember now, did you strip the engine and if so how was it?

I did partially strip the engine ; the clutch cover , water pump housing and generator cover were all removed , powder coated and new bearings and seals fitted . I had to fit a new clutch friction plate and springs (plates were fine as they had been recently renewed) . The valve clearances were all out of tolerance so camshafts out and all new shims fitted . Other than that the engine was fine - probably because it had been serviced every 3000 miles

Bike.

Nice Job John. It looks great. Where do you source your spares?

Tom.

Just test fitted one of the Rear Brake Disc Guards that I had made on the XCountry and it's a perfect fit

I'll get the rest packaged up and sent off tomorrow to those who bought them
