mods so far are..

wr400 front end with upgraded springs and revalve to suit the heavier bike.
320mm big disc conversion.
ktm640 rallye adventure front fairing, frame, lights etc.
custom exhaust headers & can
cut off the subframe ready to fit a wr450 back end on it.
ive converted it to a hydraulic clutch (so so so much better!)

to follow

custom deep gauge braced swingarm & nitron shock
18" rear wheel conversion
exhaust rerouted to go underneath the engine to reduce the width of the bashguard (its so wide it gets stuck in ruts etc)
reweld the radiotor to remove the idiotic oem yamaha thermostat system.
fit an oil cooler.

its coming along! :)

It has been over a year but how is the bike now. I have recently bought a 1999 XTZ660 and after an eventful trip around Morocco, she is defiantly a keeper, after some modifications.

Some of the things I would like to do,
Extend the fuel range, by having a fuel cell built to attach onto the sub frame
upgrade front/rear suspension,
custom build soft panniers and rack,
go for a single seat,
rebuild the cockpit to take sat nav, Garmin etrax, plus power point's to charge phone, camera bits and a map holder for paper maps.
have some sort of rally faring made with taller and wider screen but still retain the XTZ look,
pivot pegs,

I have already bought,
2004 WR426 front end (I believe this to be the same as the 450)
HID 50 lights
As to the pivot pegs they dont do them for my bike but do you know if the xtz pegs are the same as any other bike.

I have been trawling the internet, but any help or advice would be appreciated.
