Having suffered some nerve damage, I really struggle with cold hands. Anything in single digit temperatures and it's agony time.

I'm looking for some recommendations on properly warm gloves, not looking at heated gloves, and ideally I'd like something that will work on the bike, and my eBike, so whilst heated grips help, that's no use on the eBike.

Cost isn't really an issue, but don't want to throw loads of cash at something that's no better than useless.

Richa Arctic. Bulky but good insulation and waterproof. Mine are the goretex version but an earlier version than those on sale now

In reality, having been down this rabbit hole, when I commuted 33 miles into Cardiff for two winters, I found the best solution was bar muffs on my R1150GS. Sadly, the Tucano R319 are no longer made.

Try a heated vest. I've always suffered from my hands going cold quickly in winter weather, which became a real pain when I rode for a living all year round.

A heated vest was a game changer, because it heated my core body, warm blood was continually circulating and cold hands became a not so fond memory.

I also use the Tucano bar muffs on my own bike, they are so good I have to turn off the heated grips. And glad to hear you're back on 2 wheels.

+1 for heated gloves. Mine feel really bulky after summer gloves but they work. Expensive, but if you want to ride when it's cold, heated kit is the way forward.

My Held winter gloves are very warm. Can’t remember which Held gloves they are but they certainly do the job.

Wear an extra vest. It’s all about core temperature. As soon as your core cools the blood supply to your hands is greatly reduced. Since I discovered this I now wear the same gloves all year round.

I was gonna say, 3-finger-gloves.
I have had a pair of Hein Gericke for donkeys years and if I don't want to use my heated gear, they are the best solution.
I also have spastic fingers that go white below 20c :)
They're great, look odd but work really well.

You said you weren’t keen on heated gloves but despite that many recommended them. I have Keis heated gloves (connected to my bike battery anlthough separate batteries are available) and would caution that they only work to a certain degree, heating the backs of my fingers rather than my whole hand. I use them in conjunction with heated grips

For cycling I’d suggest layering. Silk liners, which can be used with waterproof and windproof outer gloves, can also be used under motorbike gloves. They offer warmth without excessive bulk and more than one pair can be worn if desired

An obvious advantage of layers is their ready adjustability as temps change

Does anyone have any practical experience of these. Five WFX Prime Evo.

I did get hold of some of the RST battery heated gloves last year, but find the inner lining a pain in the backside, if they get a little damp. It just wants to come out as you remove the gloves.
