Hi Did a search and did find much so apologies if this has been covered before,....
Does anyone have any recommendations, or comments on using some type of protective film on the fork legs? I check on google and there are quit a few that do tank kits but the full kits do not seem to include the forks, and they are around £100!!!

Cheers

Barry - I bought paint protection film from a company.... around 40 quid for 2m x 600mm. Wrapped panniers with it - really touch stuff!

send Jane an email and ask her to quote! Very helpful and stunning service!

Two wheel humvee does them - he's on this site. I have a set, can't remember how much but not expensive and are reflective as well.

I bought some oxford vynyl, just google it , was about £20 for a roll, used this for the top of the forks as i already bought the touratech bits for the lowers, i think the touratech were around £30 ish for the pair.

What are you trying to protect against?

I got some carbon fibre protectors for an 1150 having read this thread some years ago. Not specifically designed for the GS but fitted perfectly. Assume Racespec still sell 'em

Just general chips and wear and tear

Currently use ACF but not much good against stones.

Stones from what? If you are being hit by stones then you are riding too close to the vehicle in front.

You don't need to protect the fork legs !

For sure protect the alternator cover - from Cymarc - which protects from crap thrown up by your own front wheel.

Whether you need to or not is irrelevant..........he WANTS to!!!!!
