You've gone the opposite way to Nutty!

He's got a small one ;) !

I've just fitted mine (£85 from M&P in January) and I think it may be too tall for a short arse like me, even on the lowest setting :blush

Great quality and easy to fit though, so a cheap alternative to the very similar GSA LC screen if you're tall enough :thumby:

With the stock after half a day of riding my visor is covered in bugs which sucks IMHO.

The PUIG is tall I'm 5'10" and half a turn from top seems about right from my quick trip...proper ride tomorrow.

How's the Puig for Noise/buffeting?

Just curious, what's wrong with the standard screen?
How are we getting on with the Puig? My biggest bugbear is noise & buffeting.
To answer Eunuch "it's really noisy"
I've had to fit a clip on deflector to my standard GSLC screen to make it quieter (works well, looks poor)
Thought the larger GSA screen would be quieter but I was wrong, that's noisey too (I'm 6')

By too tall do you mean you have to look through the screen if you are short? I'm only 5'8" and want to be able to see over the top!

I'm the same height as you and have the low seat in the low position and the top edge of the screen is only just below my horizontal line of sight. This is fine on open roads, but on the gravel strewn and mud-covered backraods of the Dales and Lakes I assume I'll be looking through the screen to see the crap on the road (I haven't tested it yet).

I suspect it may be in the "for sale" section after next weekend as it'll be ideal for someone probably >5'10" with a standard seat.

Thanks Sven - I too have the low seat so I'll bypass the Givi screen. Thanks for your input as it's saved me some money ;)

If coverage and comfort is the name of the game....the PUIG is a winner.

Just did the normal 37 mile commute and it light years ahead of the stock GS screen.

The Pros : At half a turn from top i can see over it easily (5'-10" normal seat), the main air flow hits directly on my top helmet vent, i can ride at 120 with my visor open ;), no buffering, much quieter (the engine sounds better :D), its half price of anything else...and it looks cool!!!

The Cons : There is a little chatter\oscillation on the upper edge at mid speed but to me its nothing....and thats it.

Update

I tested the screen yesterday and I'm pretty impressed :thumby:

Once out on the road I can see over the screen pretty easily and raised it an inch or two out on faster roads. The protection is pretty impressive (similar to my RT) and there's little wind noise.

SWMBO was impressed too and the intercom is clear at all speeds.

Well worth £85 :D
