Afternoon all

I have just switched my GS screen for the Puig Touring and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Puig brackets. They seem similar to the Cymarc ones but allow adjustment on the move as would be the case without additional brackets.

Thanks in advance

GSJones, consider this - how many times will you really need adjust the screen when riding? Once your PUIG is set, you will ideally not need to change.

IMHO, the Cymarc ones hold the screen better and to adjust the screen, it is just a matter of turning the two lugs on each side, adjusting and then finger tighten again. it is very easy, even with gloves on.

I have got the Cymarc ones and have modified them simply by placing a 3-4mm collar on the screws in-between the washers so that it sits inside the sliding bracket if that makes sense. I can now adjust on the move and there is no material reduction in 'hold'.

Interesting. Never thought about that one. :thumb Will do that on the weekend now :)

Have you used the Puig bracket ?

No! :D

Have you used Cymarc? :D

Compared Cymarc and the Wunderlich one when I decided to purchase. WL I think enabled adjustment while riding but was not that good. Cymarc IMO scored on build quality, ease of fitting and that fitting was available for both sides. :thumb

Got a picture please Andy?

I use the Wunderlich single side screen support with my Puig touring screen, mostly this is really good but when it's very windy or going at some pace it does twist a bit. I think now that i should have purchased the Cymark double sided support for maximum effect... maybe i will at some point...

its bloody hard to move the puig screen up and down with the original knob after 60mph or sometimes less on the move

I am away at the moment but will post one up when I get back next Friday.

Here is a pic as promised. The collar is marked in blue and sits between the two washers marked in red holding them apart so that the bracket can slide up and down. Simple mod.

I found the Givi bracket works really well, and is possible to loosen, with care, while riding. You can see it in the pic below. I bought it for £22.50.
