Well, I'll soon have all the answers as I've won a black Puig screen off ebay. I hope it's as good as I think as I was about to order the tinted version (3 cms taller). Pics will follow once it's here.

Nice pics of your new screen. I see that this was is refered to by Puig as the 'touring screen' and note that it is a bit taller than the standard screeen.

How have you found it? Does it give more protection than the standard BMW issue? Any problems with turbulence? Interested as I am thinking of also going down this route and this screen looks a good comprimise between size and protection - not to mention price which looks very reasonable compared to the price of some alternative screens on sale out there

The tinted screen Streaky has fitted is 3cms taller than the oe or solid black one fited to my bike. I'm guessing it won't make a big difference, but I'm sure Streaky will be along soon to verify what you're asking.

Hi as smeggy said 3cm taller,very well finished and looks good,well i think so It does give a little more protection than the standard one,hope this helps

I purchased a dark screen from Nippynormans over a year ago that looks EXACTLY like this one....

The (solid) black on my bike has all the same qualities as the oe screen. So if you suffer buffeting you'll be no better off. This has never bothered me until I bought a TourX and was cured by altering the angle of the screen. Saying all that, if anyone is interested in buying my black one, £35 posted would do nicely. I've another screen on order so don't need this one anymore.

Streaky, does the screen adjust in the same way as the original? The solid black looks great on the yellow bike, but smoked looks better on the faster blue version.

Any idea if it affects GPS picking up satellite signals?

Hi as thunder will confirm,Our bikes are platinum grey metalic Yes same adjustment and it does not affect the sat ,nav,Hope this helps
