Ok so i followed Steptoes guide for replacing the fork seals. Excellent post on the font of all wisdom. I found that with a little fork oil on the outside of the seal i was actually able to push them home with my fingers instaed of using the large socket which i didnt have anyway...
I then decided that i should pull off the exhaust and clean it up as its stainless and was really dirty. I cant seem to get the front of the pipes away from the head, they must be welded on with eons of dirt. Thinking i might just leave them on unless you have any ideas...
Gonna strip the brakes and clean thoroughly tomorrow then t cut and polish tank. change the spark plugs. clean the air filter and apply redex to petrol mix.
The bike is due an MOT so will get everything ready and clean again.
Anything else i could do to improve running while its stripped ???
