I have just had to bin another less than half worn z rated tyre due it being punctured. This is the second one this year and at £120 each this is getting to be quite an expensive hobby.

I found this stuff http://www.puncturesafe.co.uk/flashintro.html And wondered if any one here uses it, any feed back on this product would be much appreciated.

From what I can make out this product seems to be a rebranding of Ultraseal.

only ever used this kind of stuff in a emergency rather than a long lasting prevention, as i feel if i did get a problem i would just forget about it and carry on regardless, and it could end up being dangerous.
ok for a car where 3 other wheels help, im just not sure, and would rather go with just air.

only my opinion mind

Do a search and all will be revealed about the evil shite.

Put it in. Just as long as you don't mind your tyre fitter smacking you when you next change your tyre.

Get a plug/tails set and repair the tyre. If its bit enough to require a new tyre the puncture sealent will not help you.

There is always UltraSeal

(I think that it could have, at one time, been recommended by the BMW Club - but do not quote me on that).

It has certainly been used by BMW Club owners as one of their guys is the Southern Stockist - Greg...........forgotten his second name..........I will remember it when I get rid of my Alzheimers..................but do a google search...............I believe that it is as good as anything around, (I have only used it on my "ride on" mower tyres.........and it has been effective for 5 years

But this is not puncture prevention !! .... it's "instant" puncture fix . Given that , why not just fix your puncture , rather than throw away a "good" tyre ??

More to the point, why are you binning part worns. Most can be repaired unless it's gone in the side wall, and you can do those if a grown up isn't watching:augie

Have used for at least 5 years and always fit in new tyres, has helped out on more than one occasion, cost is low and you still know when you get a puncture, you lose on average 5 -10 psi which is enough to let you know things have happened.

Have read here too many times about tours in foreign lands that have been delayed by punctures that puncture safe would have coped with safely.

I also carry plug kit and mini compressor so can fix any problems at the next rest stop.

Oh I always warn the tyre fitter before he starts work that the stuff is in the tyre never been a problem, in fact my local tyre fitter is now offering a similar commercial product on tyre fitting.

.

You didn't read about the 9 bikes in morocco, only one with puncture/ultraseal in the tyres - And the only bike to get two punctures.

Oh how we laughed.

I dont like it for other reasons, had a wobble once at interesting speeds caused by the stuff, also had a tyre that kept losing pressure with the stuff in it, eventually worked out that it had corroded the wheel around the valve, those two things prompted me to buy a decent repair kit and a small presser, worked out cheaper to :augie
