. . . . to the PC.

Neither Basecamp nor Windows explorer can see and extract the Tracks from the XT.

I'd saved around 20 Tracks from my daily rides and wanted to save them back onto Basecamp for reference. No chance.

I could see and work with the saved Tracks on the XT. I could only "Convert to Trip" for each of the saved Tracks on the XT.

Then the newly created Routes could be seen and extracted to Basecamp when I connected to PC.

However, all the Track detail has been lost and the newly created Routes only show a Start and End.

I'm baffled. No online searching has offered any clues.

And clues on here?

ps - I did not have a memory card in the XT, so all is on internal memory

Are you looking for the tracks in the "Where I've been" app on the XT unit or in tracks ? Your travel history will be in there.

Into Basecamp after connecting to XT.

My tracks are listed under “Apps/Tracks”.

Each track clearly shows the blue line as shown above.

Each track successfully obeyed the instruction “Convert to Trip”.

All the newly created Trips were seen on Basecamp and transferred.

But, Basecamp cannot see the Tracks stored on the XT.

The XT records everywhere you go all of the time without you having to do anything. This is in addition to anything else that you set up to record your trip.

On the XT, the latest file is Internal Storage->GPX->CurrentTrackLog.gpx
Once this is full, it is shunted into Internal Storage->GPX->Archive->nnn.gpx - where nnn represent a 1, 2 , 3 , .... digit number. The XT keeps the last 20 of these - so when 21.gpx is started, 1.gpx is deleted. Can you see this when you connect your XT?

Thanks for the tips.

I hoped I’d find an Archive folder as I do have 23 Tracks.

But, no such luck. I’ve scoured the folder contents and my Tracks will not show up. Even though I can see them listed on the XT and each Track shows the blue trace as expected.

It remains a puzzle.

Ah that is strange those files look far too small for the unit to have stored anything. Obviously the data must be in there somewhere if the unit can convert it to routes. That has hit the buffers of my knowledge of the unit. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to back up everything you can and to a factory reset?

Instructions here https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2113

and see if visible logging resumes?

Had a wee think about this and a poke around in my XT is this ticked in your options? Should have thought about it earlier11679.jpg
