Px my 1150RT for a 1200GS What have I done

Reading all about these faults on the 1200gs,I am wondering what I i"ve done
changing my r1150rt,did 10,000 miles no probs on the rt,px the rt for the gs
at 1200 miles 56 plate now done 5800 miles no probs so far touch wood .not looked at the bike for nearly a month now,weather and hols,need my fix soon hope it starts,better try it tomorrow!!!!cant afford to lose more money on the gs changing back!!!oh well keep on "trucking" as they say.....

I'd say you made a good choice. There are Friday afternoon bikes out there, if your's isn't one then don't worry. If it is, sell it to someone else, and they'll have a problem free bike

Yes there are bikes with problems, but that's true of all things manufactured.

I bought a Ducatti, everyone told me I was mad, they break down, they rust, they fall apart, their uncomfortable ....... the list goes on and on.

I owned it for 4 years (sold it to get the 1150 GS Adventure), never had a problem, toured all over Europe, even took it back to the factory (yup they were surprised it made it that far too )

Don't let the stories drive you into depression, just get out and ride the bike. It'll make you smile.

You've either got a good one or a bad un (and the amount sold in Europe I'd say good far outweigh the bad) just ride and enjoy

Sold four year old 1150RT with 60,000 miles and bought '06 1200 GSA. Now has 20,000 miles on it. So far no major problems. Ride them every day. They work better.

Traded my 1150 for a 12 over 3 years ago, problems?....a headlight bulb went a couple of years ago, that's it.

Great the 1200 started ok went for a blast yesterday with my two sons on their cbr 600s around the cotswolds,glad we didnt go today its p..sing down looks like more floods here in gloster...
