I got hold of these quick detatch pins a while back when I was scratching my head re QD panniers. They are aircraft quality and work by pushing the button to realease the hold on the ball bearings at the end.

Most of them are far to long for that. Can anybody think of a sensible non aircraft use for them ? Suspect I'm going to regret this but WTF.
