To me that destroys the ethos of a scooter ...its more of a motorbike with that size engine

100% agree, I have a GTV 310 Vespa. It hits a gps 80 mph although I rarely exceed 75 mph indicated ( 68-70) due to the 12” wheels . But its so lively in town , flickable, punchy off the start etc. Mines 28 bhp , I can see why I would need another 70 bee aitch pee.To me that destroys the ethos of a scooter ...its more of a motorbike with that size engine

The wife and i tried a big scooter a few years ago when she started struggling to get on the bike; because of the width she found it harder to climb on; and i also noticed it was no easier to put your feet down because of the width; i also mounted it like a bike instead of through the gap in a pansie fashion; ; they do have their place on the shop floor tho and 90 bhp would be a riot;
