Hi,

I decided to fix a Quad Lock hoping to get it next to the GPS for the added flexibility of a second GPS (using MyRouteApp) and also for charging the phone.

I originally mounted it on the handlebars, however the only orientation I could get had the phone too flat and having to look down meaning my eyes were off the road and it attracted glare. So I decided to buy the wing mirror mount and use it to mount next to the Nav V. Every way I have tried has met with failure with the front brake cylinder reservoir or the clutch reservoir fouling the phone when fitted.

Have any of you cunning engineers come up with a fix? Btw I am using and anti vibration mount and an induction charger.

Thanks in appreciation of any help

Kind regards

Mounted mine next to the NAV5. Had to move the Nav mounting to the left a little thought. Used a 1 inch ball mount and the short extension arm from RAM mounts. I have the Bluetooth quadlock on mine too. Perfect set up IMHO. Happy to post more pics if you want.

Thanks Flaming T, looks like you have found the solution. Would you please list the parts you used (ball etc?)

Many thanks

Remove the nav mount.
And use the mirror mount where the nav mount was.
There is not enough room 4 both.

Wrong - there is but its tight and needs the extension arm they do as well as a slight modification to the rear of the Nav mount to allow it to slide further left.
Easiest is to remove the V though.

Thanks,

Could we have a quick chat please? I just want to be sure I known what I am ordering. If you have time could you text me your number to 07753 897677

Here's my solution, Quadlock mirror mount with anti vibe mount all mounted to the Touratech Nav bracket which replaced the original BMW nav bracket...

Quadlock…

Hi Dodger,

I had a similar issue and have solved it pretty much the same as those above.

I did originally want the phone mounted to the L of the Nav6, but every way I tried, the keyhole on the Nav mount was occluded.

I too have the wireless charger & anti-vibration plate, med RAM arm and a mirror mount int to Nav bar. The Nav gets shifted as far left as poss.
