Hi all,
Looking to fit a Quad Lock mount to my GS. The bike has a cross brace and pad on the handlebars so space is limited. I am aware of the potential hazards vibration etc but I am using an old iPhone 7 so happy to risk it. Any advice on the best location to fit the mount and what type of mount.
Cheers

I used to use the regular quad lock and after 3 different iPhones lost their faceID and camera functionalities, I realised it had to be the quad lock. Thankfully, they brought out the anti-vibrate version and I’ve never had another issue.

Great piece of kit.

I use the handlebar mount on the thinner cross bar but have to pack it with some rubber to get it secure enough so it doesn’t move.

Cross Brace Pad.

Have you ever stopped to consider what a useless piece of ‘bling’ it is. About the only time it would help is if you fainted whilst stationary and you had no helmet on and you just happened to fall forward. Even then you would have to be really lucky for it to be of any use.:nenau

I thought about that location using the mirror mount as it should be a smaller circumference than the usual handlebar mount

I use a quad lock with my iphone12. Handlebar ram mount fits perfect just below the cross brace under the pad. Never had any vibration issues. I use the pad to attach my small handlebar bag which I use for easy access to passport and credit card.
Changing bike so mount will be available soon if any use.
