Quad lock phone mount - show me yours!

Quadlock have confirmed that their spacers dont fit the GS bars. I used black electrical tape in the end. Pics show 'gap' and also with their smallest spacer.

No need to post mine, but pretty much like others, got it mounted to the bars in between the clamps on my 1250, didn't need a spacer so just put some tape to stop it rubbing and thats it.

Wireless charging option here. Vertical only and view of Nav not obscured.

What I would like to know is,if you move the nav a little way across on its frame would there be room on the nav frame for a phone holder?

In a word... Yes. I have an iPhone 11Pro.

You just fit it without any spacers

I'm thinking the mount has changed then ! Mine is the 'pro' one and is hinged rather than 2 part with 2 bolts (if that makes sense). As per the pictures I posted - there was no way I could just fit without putting 5 or 6 loops of tape on the bars.

Ive a 2021 GS and the Quadlock with the hinged mount rather than the two bolt . (Have a two bolt one on my Himalayan.) The hinged bracket fits fine without any packing/ spacers on the handle bar, in the centre, between the clamps.

Ive also got the vibration damper on both bikes. Has anyone had any issues with the camera when using the damper?

WunderLINK / Quadlock and multifunction wheel

So I deliberately kept my phone, aka sat nav away from the bars. For one, it’s probably the area on the bike most prone to vibration, secondly it means looking down at the bars to see the screen. I utilised the OEM Nav mount with a WunderLINQ fitted to it to control my phone via the wonder wheel. I then fitted the Quadlock to the lost of the WunderLINQ. Zero vibration and it’s in my line of sight whilst riding.

Hi

I'm thinking of doing the same thing ie WunderLINQ and Quadlock, are you able to specify what sort of level of control of the phone via the multi function wheel is enabled with this setup?

Many Thanks

Phil.

I’ve used many quad lock mounts but decided to upgrade to the wireless one. So far so good :okay:aidan

Phil, I know this is an old post but I am looking at mounting a Quad Lock the same way you have. What Ram hardware did you use, and what length arm? Also do you have any issues with it fouling the screen or brake fluid reservoir?

Hi,

I'm about to go out for the day and I'll get some photos but I've got what RAM call the handlebar/rail base with 1 inch ball, short extension arm double socket, with a 1 inch ball on the bottom of the Quadlock wireless charger. With my previous smaller phone there was no fouling at all. I have a bigger one now and if I turned the bars to the left to the stop it would foul the reservoir slightly (Pixel 6 in Quadlock case). I never do that so haven't had any issues. It doesn't prevent me engaging the handlebar lock either. This set up does have a slight negative: you can't see the right-hand indicator green light without moving your head but I've not found it overly irritating.

Sorry it’s taken a while to reply buddy - just found the notification in “junk” for some odd reason.
The RAM hardware I used is (I believe) a ball on a “mirror mount” and a short RAM arm. I also used one of their security tightening bolt thingies…
Hope this helps

Thanks chaps, I had sort of worked out the ball mount but was wondering what length arm people were using. I have a 3" already but thought it was going to be too long, so will get a short one. I hope to mount the phone to the left of the nav, mainly for controlling the Cardo app.

I already had the quad lock with vibration dampener.

So this weekend i fitted the "Weatherproof Wireless Charging Head" and used the "Waterproof 12V To USB Smart Adaptor" to leave it connected to the battery.
all went well and it works great.

however, i have to ask what bike needs about 4m of cable to go from your handlebars to the battery!

I did think about cutting the cable and rejoining shorter, by soldering together and covering with a heat shrink.
instead i now have a ridiculous roll of electric cable, zip tied under the seat.
