Having a clear out to make room for some new kit, so need to sell my rebuilt (Legendary) Quad 909 power amp, an excellent Origin Live Mk4 Silver 9 inch tonearm and unexpectedly back up for sale after the first one fell through, my TRON Convergence Signature Phonostage, recently serviced and complete with new valves:

Quad 909 was a nut and bolt restoration with Quad recommended upgraded power supply caps. Amp totally stripped and professionally rebuilt as per pictures. Now better than new! Outer case has a few small marks and blemishes but otherwise this is a fantastic amplifier. Looking for £900 firm as rebuild was over £550. Will deliver for £25 courier costs anywhere in the UK

TRON: As previous advert, one of GT Audio's hand built all valve phono preamplifiers, the TRON Convergence, upgraded Signature version....really high quality UK buit preamp this one and the best valve phonostage currently under £4K new, period. This is the Moving Coil version and is loaded to 470 Ohms input impedance to cover a wide variety of current MC cartridges. It was recently serviced and new valves fitted and sounds fantastic. new price is £3,500. Asking a very reasonable £1000 or VERY near offer which is a bargain. Delivery is £15 anywhere in the UK

Tonearm is the one pictured on my Garrard 401 plinth. It's as good as new, well cared for and currently retails for £875. Looking for £425 delivered anywhere in the UK.

All items can be inspected or picked up locally, Glos GL11 postcode

Tron now reduced to £850 firm.

Quad 909 reduced to £750 firm

Arm now spoken for.

Very nice, what new kit are you getting?
The quad was a spare amp bought for nostalgia, as I always wanted to own one, but my regular power amp is a Radford STA25. The Tron was replaced with a Gold Note PH10 plus inductive power supply, and the arm is being replaced for an Audiomods Series 6 Evo arm.

Tron and Arm now sold. Just Quad 909 left. Not many in this fully restored state available in the UK. With advice from Robert at Quad servicing dept, Huntington, various approved upgrades have been made to restore this amp to the originally intended UK specification. For those in the know, quad, shortly after releasing the 909 outsourced it to China for supervised building. Many of those had inferior parts in the power supply, compared with the 606 (UK built) and original 909. This one has not only restored it to use spendy and very reliable superior Kemet power smoothing caps but various other caps were also upgraded along with some resistors, and internal wiring has all been replaced with superior grade and gauge wiring. It's an absolute steal at £750! (restoration work valued at £550 alone). This may be a unique opportunity to acquire Quad's iconic power house of their unique current dumping Power amplifier rated at 140wpc into 8 Ohms.
