Quest link to pc

Why when I want to upload a route does the pc/mapsource not detect my Quest, it tells me to connect the unit and click find device, but no joy

don't forget that the quest is a USB device not on a com port so click the correct option?

Have done that, and sometimes when the cable is connected/removed the pc beeps, sometimes not, have just found it works if not connected to the Internet, maybe the speedtouch takes priority.

Les, might be a stupid question but, did you have the USB lead connected to the unit when you originally downloaded the software? If so then you will need to uninstall the software again, and then UNPLUG the USB lead until AFTER reinstallation of the software. USB connections are prone to need this "load the software before connecting anything" approach. Hope this helps.
