The Quest arrived today. I'd already fitted the Motorrad Concepts No1 mount and tha Garmin cradle. I had to fit some spacers under the lower screws securing the Garmin cradle to the MC mount as all I could see was a reflection of the filler cap but, this only took a few minutes and I'm very happy with the result.

Having made the initial post on this thread regarding my need to fit a spacer between the mount I was contacted by the 'Dutchman' who said that 'Motorrad Concepts' actually make a spacer for their mount which brings the GPS unit closer to the rider and also angles the unit upward slightly. He said he would send me one FREE if I wanted one! The spacer arrived today and I fitted it which took all of five minutes and looks alot better than my home made effort. IMHO a top product from a top company.

This is the spacer fitted to the front of the mount;

Sorry John, missed your post. I think the TT cradle for the Quest needs to fitted to a cross bar the same as my Garmin V.

The screen can be tilted back just over half way. I have my screen a couple of notches down from the highest setting.

Very light, I reckon it's about half the weight of the Garmin V. The mount is easily the neatest solution to mounting the unit I've seen as it is small, fits in with the style of the bike and most importantly with the spacer, gives a clear view of the unit to the rider.

My TT mount is currently on a RAM mount on my 1150 and I was originally thinking of going down the RAM route and mounting on the instrument surround bar on the 1200 but the Concepts mount looks a lot neater. Bit expensive to get rid of the TT mount now and replace it with the Garmin mount.
