Just bought a Quest to replace my GPSV. The latter is a brilliant bit of kit, but the 19 meg map capacity is just too limiting in my experience.

Paid £199.97... as pointed out in another thread... and the unit came with City Select 6

I've currently got a Touratech mount for the V on a Migsel mount and all is hardwired to the GS.

| now need a mount for the quest to replace the TTech one. I like the TT alloy mounts, but they don't appear to do a powered one. (ie one that contains a transformer or whatever the Quest uses)

I'm sure I've read Ram-man saying that Ram do do a powered one? If that's true, and you're reading this Ram-man... have you got any available and what is the cost?

Many thanks

Will

By the way

Will, hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread, but could I also ask a similar question?
1150 GS / Quest, what is the cheapest fitting kit / power supply / audio (for Autocom unit) COMPLETE that I can buy, fit and forget, without resorting to buying from several manufacturers, ie a COMPLETE KIT (minus the Quest of course).

Thanks Will, my apologies for the hijack.

Been away for few days - as I felt s****ed out.

Willstat.. I've currently got a Touratech mount for the V on a Migsel mount and all is hardwired to the GS.
>> to adapt for the quest, using same existing set up eg have arm and diamond base, just add RAM-HOL-GA15 to hold the Quest and to power it look at the *QPAC* options (read this forum) and search QPAC on GPS Warehouse www.gpsw.co.uk (they are exclusive Uk source - I just know about it. QPAC is sold in the US by RAM USA hence powered mount thoughts)

bikermike .. 1150 GS / Quest, what is the cheapest fitting kit / power supply / audio (for Autocom unit). I suggest a bundle kit from gps warehouse, comprising RAM handlebar mount, RAM cradle cradle and QPAC, QPAC02-xx will be £66.95 inc VAT. You will need a cable from Autocom to run from their box to QPAC audio Jack, final decision is size of the jack needed.

Thanks Steve, but it would appear that I pre-empted your answer!!, I've ordered those options at the weekend from GPS Warehouse and they should be with me tomorrow apparently.
1 x QPAC Quest Power & Audio Cable, 1 x Handlebar mount, arm and diamond base (No Holder),1 x Garmin Quest Cradle.

Nice One! :thumb
