Quest, TT Bracket and power lead...

Well Finally my TT Locking Quest cradle and power lead arrived and put it all together and I have spotted an irratation.

I bought the TT one becasue I tend to bolt the cradle to the bike and leave it there permanatly, but I see the Power Cable bolts to the cradle, which is a bit of a pain as I don't want to leave the Power cable plugged in when I take the Quest off i want to take the power off to, as I guess if I hard wire the power cable in situte ( I presume I can cut off the socket end and wire that in) those connectors aren't going to fair well in the weather for too long?.

Does anyone have the same problem or have people altered something to make it easier to remove the powercable without having to unbolt everything?

Also i noticed if plugged into the power socket and I switch the Quest off A power screen saver is displayed (So I guess it's still drwaing power even when the bike is off) is there away to get rid of it????

Had similar thoughts when doing QPAC for the RAM GA15 cradle.

We offered bare wire end with inline fuseholder and then three versions with power plug options, so when parked pull out plug and then de-install mount, so it does not attract 'scrotes' . So add a plug with inbuilt fuseholder to replace in line wire ends and fuse holder or then again add an inlne plug /socket holder set (such as powerlet) though in the forums other sources have been suggested (look in equipment & toys ?) ... and remember its a 1.5Amp fuse .. do not exceed this rating.
